The name ‘Gecko Lodge’ is inspired from Indonesian and Asian cultures believing that Geckos are a symbol of good luck and bring good luck to the house in which they live.

Gecko Lodge has four guest rooms catering to individual couples seeking privacy and relaxation. Two guest rooms featuring spa baths and two guest rooms featuring 2 showers to the shower recess.

Our facility’s include a guest breakfast room, a guest lounge room, FREE Wireless Broadband, a guest swimming pool and off the street parking. In fact the entire premises have been designed and built with guest privacy in mind.

* Please note: Gecko Lodge does not have any Guest cooking or food preparation facilities. However, there are some great cafes and food outlets to choose from while staying in Kalbarri.

Spa Suites: Gecko Lodge offers two romantic, luxurious spa suites. The executive spa suite offers a King Bed and our Superior Spa suite a queen bed . Both of these suites have LCD TV and DVD, clock radio for I-pod and I-phone plus, tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Fresh quality linen, large en-suites with two person spas and an array of quality toiletries, hairdryer, fluffy robes and towels (yes! pool towels as well) are also supplied to make your stay at Gecko Lodge feel like ‘home’. Both the suites open into the pool courtyard area, with your own verandah area looking toward the pool.

Tudor Cabin (Backpackers) 2 berth
The Cabin consists of one room, it is equipped with a hotplate, crockery, cutlery, kettle, toaster, fridge. There is a small verandah for sitting outside. They are close to the ablutions. We have linen for hire $10.00 per set for as long as you stay.

Standard Park Cabins

If you don’t remember to bring your linen, we have linen for hire at $10.00 per set for as long as you stay. These cabins are located not far from the ablutions. The cabin contains crockery, cutlery, fridge, hotplate, microwave, TV and air/con. There is a shared area to sit outside and to enjoy the surroundings.

Ensuite Park Cabins
This features one room for sleeping and living and an ensuite. It also has a double bed and bunks. The double bed is made up with linen and towels for two people. Linen can be hired for the bunks for $10.00 per set for as long as you stay. The cabin is equipped with crockery, cutlery, fridge, hotplate, microwave, toaster, kettle, TV and air/con. Outside is a shaded area for sitting.

Motel Unit (sleeps 2)
This is one room with separate bathroom. It has a queen size bed made up with linen and two towels. It also features microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, The unit has an outdoor area for sitting.

1 Bedroom Brick Unit (sleeps 4)
These units have a separate master bedroom. Bunks are located in the living area and has a bathroom. The queen beds have linen and two towels. Linen can be hired for bunks @ $10.00 per set for as long as you stay.The units have TV, air/con, sofa, microwave, hotplate, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and an outdoor area for sitting. We have a 1 x 1 bedroom unit specially designed for anyone disabled. This unit is wheelchair friendly.

2 bedroom Brick Unit
This unit features, air/con, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a separate toilet. The queen size bed is made up with linen and two towels. The second bedroom has single beds with linen supplied. The lounge areas has 2 x 2 seater sofas and TV. The kitchen has hotplate, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and outdoor area.

2 Bedroom Villas
Sleeping 4-6 people they consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a separate toilet. The queen size beds are made up with linen and two towels. The second bedroom has single beds or bunks, with linen supplied. There are two sofas in the lounge area. These villas have air/con TV hotplates, microwave, fridge, crockery and cutlery. They also have an outdoor sitting area.

You will wander through the centre along paved brick pathways, through landscaped tropical gardens, past waterfalls, fountains, stained glass windows, gargoyles and lily ponds. You will enjoy close encounters with our black, red and yellow local white tailed Cockatoos and don’t be surprised if you hear them say ‘hello’ as you pass by.

Around every corner there are parrots in all colours of the rainbow, such as the Eclectus Parrot and the colourful and mischievous blue and gold South American Macaws. Upon arrival at Rainbow Jungle you will find ample parking for coaches, private vehicles and caravans. Although the shop is now is a relatively modern building, it’s origins do actually date back more than 30 years when crayfishermen cooked crayfish in old iron drums and sold cheap and delicious sandwiches—at the back of someone’s shack in what was then the location of the original Anchorage Caravan Park!

Inside, the multicultural theme continues with paintings from Switzerland and China and furnishings from Asia. The only exception is the wine list which, aside from the French Veuve Clicquot and a smattering of South Australian and Victorian labels, are all from WA’s premium wine producers.
